We are grateful to Tufts Health Plan, Presenting Sponsor of the 5th Anniversary Road to Wellness 5K Walk/Run and The Tufts Health Plan Health and Wellness Pavilion. Tufts Health Plan supports many of The Dimock Center’s programs and events in addition to The Road to Wellness 5K Walk/Run, including our annual Steppin’ Out event. Juan Lopera, Vice President of Business Diversity at Tufts, is the Vice Chair of our Dimock Community Foundation Board and dedicated member. Isioma Chukwu, a Tufts Health employee, was The Dimock Center’s first official Boston Marathon Runner in 2016 and we are so grateful for her participation again with Team Dimock in 2018 to run the Marathon and raise critical funds for Dimock. We are incredibly thankful for our partnership with Tufts Health Plan and their continued support of The Dimock Center over the years.
We are deeply grateful to the Trefler Foundation for their leadership support of this year’s 5th Anniversary Road to Wellness 5K Walk/Run. The Foundation’s commitment launched the Road to Wellness Teen Ambassador Program and is providing critical support as a Community Legacy Sponsor. Teen Ambassadors conduct outreach activities in the community, promote the Road to Wellness event to their peers, and participate in the event by leading activities for children and walking and running as a team. These efforts support the Foundation’s priorities to build strong futures for young people and inspire children and adults to be physically active. The Teen Ambassador Program provides an outstanding opportunity to engage young people in positive, healthy activities while becoming leaders of their community. Moreover, the teens’ efforts and energy will have a direct impact on our goal to welcome even more participants to the Road to Wellness event this year.
We are so happy to have John Hancock as a Dimock corporate partner! We are grateful for their support of the 5th Anniversary Road to Wellness 5K Walk/Run. As part of this year’s John Hancock MLK Scholar Program, we are so excited to welcome ten teens to our Dimock to participate in summer internships across our campus in addition to our Road to Wellness Teen Ambassdor program. We look forward to our continued partnership with John Hancock on this important community event and are grateful for deep commitment towards health and wellness within the community.
